Bikes Are For Everyone

Here at Landry’s, we want to do our part to ensure more people can experience the joys of riding a bicycle. This commitment means supporting initiatives and organizations that help make cycling safer and more available to all communities — both in our area and across the country.

As a longtime supporter and bike-industry member of People For Bikes, Landry’s promotes diversity, equity, and inclusion both for our local business and within our cycling community. We also support the vision of a Bicycle-Friendly America where bicycling is safe, comfortable, and open to all. We invite you to explore the ways we are helping to make this dream a reality — and to join us in this movement for better bicycling for everyone.

Local Causes & Activities

We work with MassBike to help advocate for bike-friendly infrastructure, legislation, and policies that encourage and support community wellness, promote equity and inclusion, enable sustainable growth, drive economic vitality, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions for our communities.

Landry’s promotes the efforts at BNB to foster young people’s leadership, development, and sense of individual and collective power to transform their own lives, strengthen communities, and build a just and sustainable planet through learning practical, hands-on bicycle maintenance.

We sponsor and promote WEAB to help improve the health and well-being of our communities through fun, affordable bike-repair learning programs. Young people can learn valuable skills while earning their own bike and spreading the love of cycling.

NEYC logoNEYC

New England Youth Cycling provides mountain-bike racing experiences for teenage youths while emphasizing the value of all participants and placing camaraderie, positive sporting behavior, and good health over the competition. Landry’s proudly supports local teams and races.

NEMBA logoNEMBA

We are a proud sponsor of the New England Mountain Bike Association and the community of mountain bikers who are committed to creating epic riding experiences, preserving open spaces, providing trail stewardship, and guiding the future of mountain biking in our area.

Outride logoOutride

Research shows that bicycles have a positive impact on cognitive, emotional, and physical well-being in young people. We work with Outride to help local schools create and foster youth cycling programs that improve the lives of children — including underrepresented and underserved communities.

Tribute to Major Taylor

New England has a long history of bicycling, including the legacy of 1899 world cycling champion Major Taylor, the world’s first black sports superstar. Known locally as "the Worcester Whirlwind" due to his amazing speed on a bike, Major Taylor overcame racial prejudice throughout his career to become a world champion and role model. Landry's contributed to the public funding for the monumental Major Taylor Statue, located at the Worcester Public Library.

The League of American Bicyclists

In order to meet the promise of a nation where bicycling is safe, comfortable, and open to all, we must address systemic disparities, build a more diverse movement that truly represents our communities, and speak with one voice for a Bicycle-Friendly America for Everyone.

People For Bikes

We promote equitable access to biking and position bikes as one solution to address social and mobility justice issues. We ensure that transportation infrastructure is used to unite Americans and provide equitable opportunities to participate in our economy and society. We work to change transportation planning norms that systematically disregard neighborhood-level needs, especially in low-income and communities of color.

World Bicycle Relief

We are honored to support World Bicycle Relief’s mission to help people in developing countries gain mobility and independence through bicycles. Bicycles are simple, elegant machines that have the power to transform lives across the globe. For many people in need of life-changing transportation, hope has two wheels.
