Persevere

Michael C., Peabody, MA

"The reason why I started riding stemmed from an experience I had with cancer (osteosarcoma). Not knowing if I would lose my leg, I received treatments and had a partial tibia replacement. I've been in remission for 7 years now. Riding makes me feel I can persevere through anything."

Photo taken during Reid's Ride, which benefits research to fight adolescent and young-adult cancers. Story posted April 2013.
