Landry's Boston Bike Shop

Landry's Boston store is now located at 1048 Commonwealth Ave (corner of Winslow Rd).

We are pleased to announce that Landry's Boston store has moved to a new location. We haven't gone very far, though -- just a few blocks up the street to 1048 Commonwealth Avenue, closer to Packard's Corner in Allston. "Our new Boston store is now bigger and better than ever," reports Mark Vautour, Landry's Boston store manager. The new store occupies 12,000 square feet of space, about 50% larger than
Landry's prior location in Boston. The company has signed a long-term lease for the new store location.

Landry’s new Boston store presents a contemporary-styled showroom featuring the best bike brands in the business, Specialized and Trek, as well as Santa Cruz mountain bikes, locally handcrafted Parlee road bikes, Brompton folding bikes, Electra cruiser bikes, and a wide range of pedal-assist electric bikes and bike-commuting gear. The new store also includes an expanded bicycle service center, a comprehensive bike-fitting studio, capacity for more than 500 bikes in stock and ready for sale, and space for hosting community events.

As always, we appreciate your support of our local business.

More space for hosting community events

"The Boston area has become such a vibrant hub of cycling activity in the past 10 years, and our new store space will enable us to serve the community even better than before," said Mark Vautour, a longtime Landry's employee who started his career with the company 20 years ago. "Everyone at Landry's is super-excited about this upcoming move, and we're looking forward to welcoming and hosting customers and friends in our new store. The bigger space and added parking will give us the opportunity to host more events and rides to give back to the community."

Off-street parking available for customers

Landry's new Boston store provides dedicated car-parking spaces available for customers (located in the lot behind the store) as well as bicycle-parking facilities inside the store.

New protected bike lanes on Comm Ave

The City of Boston is currently installing protected bike lanes on both sides of Commonwealth Avenue between Packard's Corner and the BU Bridge. These new protected bike lanes are designed for bikes only – with granite curbs between the sidewalks and parked cars. Landry's staff advocated for installing protected bike lanes along Comm Ave to make the street safer for all users.

Landry's ranked as one of America's top bike shops

Committed to building better bicycling

Landry’s Bicycles has been named one of America’s Best Bike Shops by the National Bicycle Dealers Association again this year. In addition to providing great shopping experiences, America’s Best Bike Shops are rated on community service as well as support for bicycle advocacy both locally and nationally.

"We believe in giving back to the community, and we are actively involved with advancing safer bicycling," stated Jack Johnson, Landry’s marketing director. "The City of Boston has been nationally designated as a Bicycle Friendly Community since 2011," he noted, "and everyone at Landry's is really excited to help improve the quality of bicycling in the Boston area."

An employee-owned company

Founded in 1922, Landry's Bicycles now operates a "growing family" of bicycle stores located in Boston, Braintree, Charlestown, Natick, Needham (formerly Newton), Norwood, Westborough, and Worcester, Massachusetts. Starting in 2010, Landry's ownership transitioned to an ESOP (employee stock ownership plan), and all core staff now own shares in the company. As co-owners, Landry's staff have a vested interest in collaborative teamwork and exceptional customer service. The company’s website address is www.landrys.com.
