Natick
Store Manager

Email: mgray@landrys.com
Mark Gray has been working at Landry’s Bicycles since 1990. He came to love mountain-biking while training for ski racing in his youth, and he got a summer job at Landry’s when he was 16. He worked at Landry's part-time through high school and during vacations from the University of Colorado. After graduating in 1995, he returned to Landry’s for one last summer. He was offered the position of manager but turned it down, wanting to remain relatively free before starting a “real” job somewhere else. A year later, he accepted a Landry's managerial position and has since found that managing the Natick store is his real job.
When Mark was 14, he embarked on a cycling adventure across France. He rode 400 miles over the course of a week to the ski area at Tignes. Mark’s next great adventure does not involve a bicycle; in October 2006, he married Kate Dawson and became a “Dad” to Kate’s daughter Abby, who calls him Mark right now. Mark’s yellow lab, Cooper, did not take part in the ceremony but certainly sent his best wishes.
Life @ Landry’s
Mark’s favorite aspect of his job is “creating happy cyclists.” He loves meeting people who know nothing about bikes and teaching them to love cycling. He also loves those times when customers bring him food and beer. In addition to enjoying the gifts themselves and the generosity of his customers, he is proud that his customers are pleased enough with the service they receive that they want to repay the staff, even after they have made purchases.
Mark considers his job description to execute the daily routine of Landry’s flawlessly. He carefully trains his staff to uphold the reputation of Landry’s, and he works to maintain harmony both between departments and among individuals. In spite of – and because of – all this responsibility, Mark truly enjoys his job. The best part about it, he says, is the people he works with…”totally.”
