On-Road Cycling:  Central Massachusetts

Landry's/Westboro rides.  Group rides hosted by Landry's/Westboro staff.

AMC/Worcester Chapter Biking Committee.  Local bike rides and social events with Worcester chapter of Appalachian Mountain Club.

Seven Hills Wheelmen.  Recreational bicycle club based in Worcester and central Massachusetts, featuring the annual Quabbin Century event.

Nashoba Valley Pedalers.  Recreational bike club, with frequent rides in the MetroWest area

Worcester-area bicycling column.  Lynne Tolman's bike-column archives from the Worcester Telegram & Gazette newspaper

Assabet River Rail-Trail.  Proposed bike path linking the communities of Marlborough, Hudson, Stow, Maynard, and Acton.

Blackstone Valley Bikeway.  Proposed bike path passing through a historic river valley, and connecting Worcester, Mass., and Providence, R.I. (the final project will be 45 miles long).

Nashua River Rail-Trail.  Paved, scenic 11-mile bikeway running through Ayer, Groton, Pepperell, and Dunstable.

Mass Central Rail-Trail.  Proposed 104-mile bike path from Boston to Northampton, Mass.

Wachusett Greenways.  Working to expand a network of local trails and open spaces.

Major Taylor Association.  Raising funds to erect a public statue in Worcester to honor 1899 world cycling champion Major Taylor.

Leominster State Forest.  Westminster; mtn-biking.

Upton State Forest.  Upton; mtn-biking.

Wachusett Mountain State Reservation.  Princeton; mtn-biking allowed on non-hiking trails.

DIRECTIONS to Landry's Westboro store:

• Driving from Route 495, take Exit #23B, Route 9 West.
• Proceed on Route 9 West for 3.7 miles.
• Go past Hoyt's Cinema on Route 9 West, then take first LEFT (at traffic light near BJ's) and do U-TURN onto Route 9 East.
• Turn RIGHT into our parking lot. LANDRY'S BICYCLES is on the left side of the mall, just before Bernie & Phyl's Furniture store.
