05.12.08 - 05.16.08 Monday - Friday Bay State Bike Week   May is National Bike Month, and here in Massachusetts we’re doing our part to celebrate this great event with Bay State Bike Week, May 12–16, 2008.  It’s your chance to join thousands of other cyclists across the country by doing something for the environment and having a great time while you’re at it.  It’s a win/win proposition.
 
05.15.08 Thursday Ride of Silence - Framingham   6:00pm.  Dedicated to bicyclists who have died or been injured while riding, this 4.5-mile ride is intended to raise awareness about bicycle safety.  Organized by the Framingham Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee as part of Bike Week.
 
05.18.08 Sunday BIKE-Arlington Tour   10-mile tour of Arlington's special places. Organized by the Arlington Bicycle Advisory Committee in local celebration of National Bike Month.
 
05.18.08 Sunday Beacon Street Bicycle Parade   Brookline.  Free, family-friendly loop of Brookline's Beacon Street for all levels of riders aged 10 years and older.  It will be a bicycle parade!
 
05.19.08 Monday Redbones Bike Party   RESCHEDULED for Monday, May 19.  Bike Week Celebration Party, 5-10pm, Redbones BBQ, 55 Chester St., Davis Square, Somerville, Mass.  Proceeds benefit MassBike and NEMBA.  Landry's Bicycles is honored to sponsor Redbones' Bike Party.
 
05.21.08 Wednesday Ride of Silence   6:45pm.  Various locations in Massachusetts, including a ride from Davis Square (Somerville) to Boston Common.  Join cyclists worldwide in a silent, slow-paced ride (maximum speed 12 mph) in honor of those who have been injured or killed while cycling on public roadways.
 
05.21.08 Wednesday Major Taylor Statue dedication   Worcester Public Library.  Dedication of a public statue celebrating 1899 world cycling champion Major Taylor, who lived in Worcester.  Over the years, Landry's Bicycles has been honored to support the Major Taylor Association's efforts to design and erect this statue.
 
07.27.08 Sunday George Street Bike Challenge for Major Taylor   Short, steep uphill time trial in Worcester, Mass. Funds raised benefit the Major Taylor Association.
