Landry's Group Rides

HERE AT LANDRY'S, WE LIKE TO RIDE!  Join us for a ride sometime. Landry's Group Rides are a great way to stay in shape, train for an upcoming event, and meet new friends. See our ride descriptions and details below.


NOTE:  Many of Landry's Group Rides are now on hiatus for Fall and Winter, but some weekly mtn-bike rides are still happening.  See the listings below for current status.


REGISTRATION REQUIRED for Landry's Group Rides

Register for Landry's Group Rides:  All participants of Landry's Group Rides must complete and submit a registration/waiver form, once per riding season.  Go to the online registration form.


GENERAL INFO for Landry's Group Rides

  • All Landry's Group Rides are FREE of charge. Join us for the fun, and spread the word!
  • Registration is required for all participants (once per year).  Register now.
  • Bring your bike (in good working condition), helmet (required), spare tube, water, and flat-repair tools. See our list of recommended equipment for longer and better rides.
  • Road bikes are recommended for on-road group rides.
  • Please arrive early to set up your bike before the ride.
  • For group ride guidelines, see Rules of the Road for cycling.
  • Steady rain or thunderstorm will cancel a scheduled ride.

LANDRY'S / BOSTON Group Rides

BOSTON Road Ride: Wednesday nights. Season end date: September 14, 2016. Weekly ride through mid-September, meeting at 5:45pm, sponsored by Landry's Boston store. Weekly, moderate-paced, on-road group ride with focus on making new friends. Ride meets at Cleveland Circle (at Beacon Street and Chestnut Hill Ave. Organized by Green Line Velo.

LANDRY'S / BRAINTREE Group Rides

BRAINTREE MTB Ride: Wednesday nights. Weekly off-road, mountain-bike group rides in Blue Hills Reservation, through fall/winter. Meet 6:00pm at Houghton's Pond parking lot. Arrive early and we can review how to check your bike before the ride and make sure tire pressure is set. Bring front lights strong enough; a light that is rated for 700 lumens or above is typically what is needed. The optimal scenario would be to have a helmet-mounted and a handlebar-mounted light (better lighting and back-up in case a battery drains) or a 1000+ lumen helmet-mounted light with a spare battery. 

BRAINTREE Road Ride: Saturday mornings. Season end date: September 10, 2016Ride starts 7:00am from the Braintree store. Weekly on-road group rides through September, suitable for drop-handlebar road bikes, usually with different pace groups, no drop, 2+ hours. 

BRAINTREE Women's Road Ride: Sunday mornings. Season end date: August 21, 2016Ride starts at 9:30am sharp from the Braintree store; arrive early to set up. Weekly, moderate-paced (no drop) on-road group rides for women in spring and summer, suitable for drop-handlebar road bikes. We will ride for 1.5 hours and will have at least two no-drop pace groups depending on turnout.

LANDRY'S / NATICK Group Rides

NATICK Women's MTB Ride: Monday nights.  Season end date: September 26, 2016Weekly off-road, mountain-bike group rides for women. Meet 6:00pm at Adams Farm in Walpole. Intermediate skill level; beginners welcome. Rides will last around 2.0 hours with water breaks and skills sessions, so bring lights. Cross-country, fat bike, or trail/mtn bike is recommended. NATICK Women's Road Ride: Tuesday nights. Season end date: September 27, 2016Ride starts at 6:00pm from the Natick store, through August. Weekly, moderate-paced (no drop) on-road group rides for women in spring and summer. Meet at Landry's Natick store.

NATICK MTB Ride: Tuesday nights. Season end date: September 27, 2016. Weekly off-road, mountain-bike group rides, variable levels. Meet 6:00pm at Callahan State Park, parking lot located at 1031 Edmands Road, Framingham.  Co-organized with NEMBA.

NATICK Road Ride: Wednesday nights. Season end date: September 28, 2016Ride starts at 6:00pm from the Natick store, through September. Weekly, moderate-paced, on-road group rides in spring and summer, approx 20 miles. Meet at Landry's Natick store.

NATICK Hybrid Ride: Sunday mornings. Season end date: August 14, 2016.  Ride starts at 10:00am from the Natick store, through September. Weekly, easy-paced, family-friendly group rides suitable for hybrid bikes in spring and summer, approx 5–8 miles. Meet at Landry's Natick store.

LANDRY'S / NEWTON Group Rides

NEWTON Road Ride: Saturday mornings. Season end date: October 1, 2016Ride starts at 7:30am from the Newton store, April through September. Weekly, moderate-paced, on-road group rides in spring and summer. We'll break into multiple groups for different skill levels. Meet at Landry's Newton store. 

NEWTON MTB Ride: Wednesday nights (new timeframe, starting October 19). Weekly off-road, mountain-bike group rides in Culter Park, through fall/winter. Meet at 6:00pm at Landry's Newton store or 6:15pm at Cutler Park parking lot on Kendrick (Nahanton) St. Cross-country, fat bike, or trail/mtn bike is recommended.

LANDRY'S / NORWOOD Group Rides

NORWOOD Women's MTB Ride: Monday nights. Weekly off-road, mountain-bike group rides for women, through fall/winter. Meet 6:00pm at Adams Farm in Walpole. Intermediate skill level; beginners welcome. Rides will last around 2.0 hours with water breaks and skills sessions, so bring lights. Cross-country, fat bike, or trail/mtn bike is recommended. NORWOOD MTB Ride: Tuesday nights. Weekly off-road, mountain-bike group rides, through fall/winter. Meet 5:30pm at Adams Farm in Walpole. (We will start with a warm-up lap and pass the parking lot again around 6:15pm if anyone wants to join the ride later.) Intermediate skill level. Rides will last 1.5–2.0 hours with water breaks and skills sessions, so bring lights. Cross-country, fat bike, or trail/mtn bike is recommended. 

NORWOOD Road Ride: Saturday mornings. Season end date: September 24, 2016Weekly on-road group rides, through mid-September. The ride offers different routes and paces, suitable for drop-handlebar road bikes: spicy 18-20, medium 16-18, or milder 12-14 mph. Meet at Landry's Norwood store at 6:45am. Ride starts at 7:00am.

LANDRY'S / WESTBORO Group Rides

WESTBORO Road Ride: Saturday mornings. Season end date: September 10, 2016Weekly on-road group rides through September (weather depending), with different routes and pace groups available, suitable for drop-handlebar road bikes. Ride starts at 7:00am from the shop, with experienced ride leaders from Minuteman Road Club.

LANDRY'S / WORCESTER Group Rides

WORCESTER Road Ride: Saturday mornings. Season end date: August 27, 2016Ride starts 7:00am from the Worcester store. Arrive 15 minutes early for safety talk. Weekly on-road group rides through September, suitable for drop-handlebar road bikes, spirited 16–18 mph pace, no drop, 25–30 miles distance. In addition, there's now a more casual-paced road ride that also leaves at 7:00am and covers 10–15 miles at 12–14 mph pace.

WORCESTER Hybrid Ride: Wednesday nights. Season end date: August 24, 2016Ride starts at 6:30pm from the Worcester store, through September. Weekly, casual-paced, group rides suitable for flat-bar hybrid or mountain bikes, 9.4-mile loop around Lake Quinsigamond. Meet at Landry's Worcester store.

LANDRY'S MARKETING Rides

MARKETING Rides. Scheduled by appointment. Landry's marketing director Jack Johnson hosts monthly business ride-meetings for local advertising and marketing representatives who are interested in learning more about Landry's business, networking with other marketing professionals, and sharing a bike ride together. These Marketing Rides are scheduled by appointment from April–October on the Minuteman Bikeway, usually starting in late-afternoon, BYOB (bring your own bike). If you are interested in scheduling a Landry's Marketing Ride, e-mail Jack Johnson. You can also subscribe to Landry's Marketing Ride mailing list.
